Chi Alpha District Director

Edinboro University Chi Alpha was founded by Joel and Nichole Schreiber in 2005. There are over 4,000 students on Edinboro's campus and Chi Alpha is out to serve each and every one of them with the refreshing grace of Jesus Christ.

Assistant Director

TJ is from East Springfield, PA.  He graduated from Edinboro University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education with a concentration in exercise science. He completed his CMIT and CMIT-e years at Edinboro University and Fairmont State University in West Virginia. He is currently assistant director at Edinboro XA.


“I’ve seen the impact that Jesus has had on countless lives and I believe that God is using Edinboro University to reach the University, Marketplace, and the world.”

Bri grew up in North Washington, PA.  She graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in art education and comprehensive secondary english education. A year after graduation, she began her CMIT at Edinboro as well. She is now continuing to work on Edinboro Chi Alpha's staff team.

Kristi Casto

Project Manager

Kristi was born in Twin Falls, Idaho. She lived in Missouri but spent most of her life in the mountains of northern Arizona. She went to Northern Arizona University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in film in 2017. After which, she went on to complete a two-year internship with Edinboro Chi Alpha.

Eric Tobergate


Eric is from Florence, KY. He graduated from Fairmont State University with a bachelor's degree in architecture and a minor in art history. Currently Eric is spending his second year at Edinboro Chi Alpha to complete his CMIT-e.


“I got involved in XA my freshman year through a guy who lived down the hall. From there the community accepted me in and is what kept me there. Eventually I found Christ myself and have seen others healed, saved, and loved to the point where I decided that I needed to continue doing this for at least one more year.”

Assistant Director

Ally grew up in Edinboro, PA.  She graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2014 with a bachelor's in journalism & mass communications w/ specializations in print and broadcast media.  She completed her CMIT (Campus Missionary In Training) program at Edinboro University Chi Alpha in 2015, and has been on staff here since then.  

"God has such a huge heart for college students.  Every day I get to witness students having an encounter with Jesus for the first time, and I get to watch students grow roots in their faith walk.  There is a huge movement for Jesus taking place on college campuses all across the nation.  Lives are being transformed for the Kingdom of God."

Internship Administrator

Sara grew up in Port Allegany, PA.  She graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she received both her bachelor's (2014) & master's (2015) degrees in social work.  After completing the Campus Missionary In Training (CMIT) program with Edinboro Chi Alpha in May 2016, Sara continued to work with XA on their staff team.

Jonathan calls Bellerose, Queens, NY home!  He received his bachelor’s degree in missional ministries with a minor in English from Southeastern University in 2016. After completing both his CMIT and CMIT-e years at Edinboro, he has remained on their staff team.

“I believe that the Gospel breaks down into two components: identity and mission. I have a passion to see students embrace their identity in Christ and the mission to disciple that comes along with it.”

Cody Tanner


Cody graduated from Edinboro University in May of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in human performance. He and his wife, Hannah, live in McKean with their two dogs, Charlotte and Noel.


“I got involved with Chi Alpha in 2011 because my sister and a good friend were attending at the time. I've been a part of XA as a non-student, a student leader, and now an intern.”

Kayla Plauger


Kayla is from a small town in West Virginia called Keyser. She graduated with a double major in national security and intelligence/political science from Fairmont State University. She is now completing the second year of her internship with Edinboro XA!


“I have seen God use Chi Alpha to radically change lives--even my own. I have a passion for befriending and discipling international students to experience different cultures and share the love of Jesus with them. Chi Alpha has given me a great opportunity to meet so many different people from all different walks of life.”

Johnnie Hice


Johnnie is from Ratcliff, AR. She graduated from the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith with a bachelor's in organizational leadership. She is now completing the second year of her ministry internship with Edinboro XA.


“I believe in Chi Alpha because it is a tool Jesus uses to, not only introduce young people to the love of God, but it also teaches them how to introduce others to that love. Jesus used Chi Alpha to transform my life, and I believe He will use it in other people's as well."
